The Music Icon Portrays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Fictional Documentary First Look
Charli XCX is getting ready for a significant big screen onslaught in 2026, starting with the satirical film titled The Moment.
In the film, Charli plays what she refers to as a twisted version of herself.
It’s the realest depiction of the entertainment world that I’ve ever seen, the star commented.
She elaborated in a conversation: This isn’t a concert film, however the inspiration originated from the pressure to make one.
An Early Look into The Moment
The initial preview, unveiled on Thursday, mixes real clips from her live performances with made-up behind-the-scenes moments.
The mockumentary is helmed and co-scripted by Aidan Zamiri, who revealed that the plot focuses on a scenario where the singer opted for alternate decisions during the publicity of her chart-topping release Brat.

I’m thoroughly loving my foray into acting, Charli shared. I’m incredibly motivated at the moment in that field, and I only ever choose to take on things that inspire me.
Musical Contributions
The month of February will also see the release of the filmmaker’s version of Wuthering Heights, which will feature original songs from the singer.
She will also compose the score for the story Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch next year.
The film will be released on the 30th of January.
